The Story

You’re invited on an adventure, a chronological walk through the Bible, with your church family. Sermons, Sunday school lessons and table chat will revolve around the Bible story, from Creation to the new Heavens and Earth, from Eden to the Heavenly River of Life.

The Story, a new book by Zondervan Publishing Company, is an exciting tool for Bible reading. The 31 book chapters, set up without chapter or verse markings, allows us to read the Bible story as it happened. Reads like a novel. Looks like any other book. But it’s the Word of God (slightly abbreviated at points to enable more readers to complete the read).

In just 31 weeks, we will travel from The Garden of Eden to the ends of the earth. We will track the heavenly story line of God’s love seeking to rescue lost sinners and the earthly storyline we call history. And pause to ponder the place where the two overlap.

The Worship and Christian Education Commissions have come together to sponsor this Bible adventure with the help of our pastors. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all of us to gain a deeper knowledge of God’s Word.
